That makes six straight wins for the Cats, with strong pitching a big reason for their success.
Saturday against Harlan is was Steven Hunter on the mound. He gave up only two hits, striking out seven and walking three over seven shutout innings as Bell won 8-0.
He also hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning to put the game away.
The Bobcat offense got a spark from the bottom of their order against the Green Dragons.
Dustin Johnson, batting eighth, and Brandon Jackson, hitting ninth, led off the third with a single and a walk.
Hunter's RBI double and Spencer Greer's RBI single put Bell up 2-0.
In the fourth, Johnson and Jackson both hit one-out singles. They both cam e around to score one out later on a two-base error by Harlan left fielder Derek Sheffield.
The Bobcats put the game away in the bottom of the fifth. Second baseman Shanta Zachery led off with a single. He was sacrificed to second and scored on Chase Ely's single to left.
One out later Jackson reached on an error and Hunter followed with his home run to give Bell and 8-0 lead that would be the final score.
Hunter was 2-for -3 with the homer, a double and four RBI. Greer was 2-for-3 with an RBI, Johnson was 2-for-4 and scored two runs, and Jackson finished 1-for-2 with a walk and scored three runs.
In Saturday's late game, Bell out-slugged Knox Central 10-4 to improve to 6-5 on the season. They host North Laurel at 5:30 on Tuesday.
