Middlesboro High School graduates and Transylvania University freshman Adam Eldahan, sophomore Neil Barry, and senior Brooke Richardson have been named to the dean's list for the 2006 winter term.

To be named to the dean's list, a student must achieve at least a 3.5 grade point average during the term.

Eldahan is the son of Ismail and Cathy Eldahan of Middlesboro.

Barry is the son of Neil and Jane Barry of Middlesboro.

Richardson, a chemistry major, is the daughter of John and Myra Richardson of Middlesboro.

Karema Eldahan, a sophomore at American University in Washington, D.C., has been named to the dean's list for the spring semester with a 3.65 grade point average. She was also inducted into Phi Alpa Delta, a pre-law fraternity.

Eldahan, daughter of Ismail and Cathy Eldahan of Middlesboro, will spend the 2006 fall semester studying abroad at American University in Cairo, Egypt.

Local Students Graduate from University of the Cumberlands

University of the Cumberlands is pleased to announce that several local students graduated from Cumberlands during the commencement ceremonies held on May 6.

2006 graduates include:

Robin Swisher, of Speedwell, Tenn.; master of arts in education, secondary education.

Robert Wilder, of Middlesboro; bachelor of science in mathematics.
