Johnny Jerry Craig, 56, was traveling north on Kentucky Highway 2005 near Pathfork when his ATV went off the road and struck a tree, according to a Kentucky State Police news release. It happened at about 11 p.m. Craig was not wearing a helmet, according to the report.
Craig was pronounced dead at the scene by the Harlan County Coroner. The accident is under investigation by KSP Trooper James Earl Hensley, Jr., with assistance from Trooper Jason Young.
