Cross Country to Compete in the State Meet

The Cumberland Gap High School girls cross country team competed at Daniel Boone High School in the Region I A/AA meet on Thursday, Oct. 26. Out of 52 runners, their times as places were as follows:

  • 8. Courtney Crowder 21:40

  • 20. Ashley Thomas 23:57

  • 21. Courtney Williams 24:19

  • 26. Courtney Brock 25:19

  • 27. Jessica Weaver 25:25

  • 41. Donanna Grabeel 28:23

    As a team, the Lady Panthers finished third place out of six complete teams. This qualifies them to participate in the State meet in Nashville next Saturday, Nov. 4. This will be the second consecutive year the team has reached the State Championship race.
