Town of Cumberland Gap to meet, swear in new council members

CUMBERLAND GAP, Tenn. - New members of the Town of Cumberland Gap Board of Mayor and Aldermen will meet in regular session, Monday, December 4, at 7 p.m. New members of the Board will take the oath of office. There was a tie for the fourth seat on the board and new members will first break that tie to seat all Aldermen.

After that, the Mayor and Aldermen will consider other town business such as the financial statement, approval of bills and hear committee reports from the Planning and Zoning Committee.

The Aldermen are expected to appoint members to the Historical Committee and hear reports from the Streets and Parks, Tourism Committees and listen to upcoming events.

There will be an update from Gary McGill.

In new business Aldermen are expected to appoint a new representative for County Parks and Recreation Board and her the Compliance Evaluation Inspection Report for the sewer plant.
