John Roberts says an apparent battery short or explosion started this trackhoe fire in Harrogate on Saturday, Dec. 30. Roberts was burning brush in a field near Stonewall Road at about 4:45 p.m. when the fire started but the brush and equipment fires seem to be unrelated. The Harrogate VFD responded to extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported. The trackhoe was valued in excess of $30,000. Photo by Ed Baldwin
