Hobert and Billie Jean Arp of Merical, Ky., recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were honored with a celebration by family and friends at the Bell County Volunteer Fire Department Headquarters on Dec. 15. Married Dec 21, 1956, in Detroit, Mich., they are the proud parents of six children: Hobert Jr. (Sandra) of Virginia, Julia (Matt) Galloway, Ronald, Mary (Ted) Hudzik, and Karen Havenstein, all of Michigan, and Staff Sargent John (Shelley) of Fort Hood, Texas. They also have nine grandchildren.
