Pineville - Willie Mae Fuson, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007. She passed away at her home.

Born April 7, 1923, at Cubbage, she was the daughter of the late Will Lawson and Dora Jones Lawson. She was a 34 year member of the Fuson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Claude Fuson; a sister, Cora Brown; and a brother, Charles Lawson.

Survivors include the following: all her children, Jessie (Edna) Fuson, Middlesboro, Jimmy Fuson, Wainae, Hawaii, Gracie (Doug) Browder, Sumter, S.C., Arnold (Marilyn) Fuson, Pineville, Thelma “TJ” (Doug) Orr, Pineville, Ray (Cathy) Fuson, Pineville, Lee Roy (Diane) Fuson, Harrogate, Tenn., Della (Billy Dale) Bramble, Pineville, Christine (Joe Klinger) Wallis, Lawrence, Kansas, Earl (Shannon) Fuson, Baxter, Ky., and Diana (Dean) Jackson, Pineville; 20 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Goldie Hensley, Shirley Hensley, Rose Stephens, Violet Perry, Loretta Brewer, Daisy Johnson, and Peggy Phillips; one brother, Bill Lawson

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dewell Perry and the Rev. Marty Bramble presiding. Music will be by the Fuson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Choir.

Interment will follow in the Fuson Family Cemetery at Little Gear Creek. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Creech Funeral Home, Middlesboro, which is in charge of all arrangements.
