TAZEWELL - Tazewell Speedway officials are gearing up for what may be one of the more exciting racing seasons in the track's 42-year history.
Several bonzer events are scheduled for the 2007 racing season.
One of the nation's largest touring series, the ultra-competitive Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, will make their third appearance at "The Taz" for a $10,000-to-win event on April 14.
The rapidly-growing Advance Auto Parts Thunder Series holds down two events on the '07 schedule, March 11 and Sept. 7.
The nation's most competitive dirt late model regional series, The O'Reilly Battle of The Bluegrass Series, will also make a return visit to Tazewell Speedway. The "BoB" series will hold a $4,000-to-win event on May 12. The month of June will witness the Battle of The Bluegrass open wheel modified series' "BoB Squad" as they will make their debut on the high banks of "The Taz."
Tazewell Speedway will play host to Ray Cook's Southern Nationals Series championship finale, for the third consecutive year, during a $5,300-to-win affair in July.
