Farmer's market a work in progress

Leadership Bell County members, along with others, volunteered their time Saturday to work on one of this year's class projects, the Farmer's Market to be located in downtown Middlesboro. The volunteers spent their Saturday readying the empty lot on Cumberland Avenue for the market, which many hope will bring traffic to the downtown area.

Leadership Bell County in conjunction with Discover Downtown Middlesboro will host a Producer's Meeting on Thursday, March 29, at 6:30 p.m. at the Middlesborough-Bell County Public Library. The purpose of the meeting is to gather information and input from local producers who are interested in participating in the Farmer's Market by selling their produce or assisting with the organization.
