There will be a car wash on Saturday, March 24 at Walmart in New Tazewell from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. for the Claiborne High School baseball team. Proceeds will go for new bats and scorestand.

All donations accepted.

Claiborne Comets All Star Cheerleading Sign Ups

Abby Turner invites girls from the 5th grade and up to sign up for the Claiborne Comets All-Star competitive cheer team. The Claiborne Comets have place first in many competitions. An all-star squad teaches discipline, hard work and commitment. Sign ups are for 5th thru 10th grade with limited tumbling experience and an open senior squad with tumbling experience.

TN Premier Basketball Academy

The first Annual TN Premier Basketball Academy will be held at Claiborne County High School on Saturday, April 14 from 8 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

The academy is for ages 8-15 and the cost is $50 per person

Participants will be instructed in all areas of the game of basketball, including: offense, defense, ball handling, and game intangibles.

The VFW Post 8779 will host a "Pick Your Own Partner" dart tournament on Friday, March 30, at 8 p.m.
