Middlesboro, which has won three straight games, had nine players to collect hits as the Jackets pounded out 14.
Andrew Breeding had three singles. Chris Tolliver followed with a double and single. Frady and Lance Brooks each added two singles. Earls, A.J. Jones, Trevor Hoskins, Brett Pittman and Tyler Hatmaker each singled once.
Patrick Ball, Josh Johnson, Forrest Hollins and Chase Jones each singled once for Harlan.
Jones (0-2) took the loss for the Dragons. He gave up seven runs on four hits and walked three in 1-1/3 innings. Kody Johnson pitched 1-1/3 innings, allowing two runs on five hits. C.J. Reed pitched the final 4-1/3 innings. He gave up one run on five hits and recorded three strikeouts.
The Yellow Jackets scored two runs in the opening inning and led 7-0 after two innings. Middlesboro took a 10-0 lead after three frames. Harlan scored its run in the fourth.
Harlan (10-2 overall, 2-1 district) travels to Williamsburg today for the championship of the All “A” Classic at 6:30 p.m.
Middlesboro (6-7, 2-1) will participate in the Whitley County Invitational today against Campbell County, Tenn. The Yellow Jackets will play North Laurel and Whitley on Saturday.
