She was a member of FOE Auxiliary Post #3491 in New Carlisle and REAC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Jr. in 1983; and brother, Glendon Lowery.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Danny Latham of Centerville; sons and daughters-in-law, James W. “Mike” and Anna Lee Prater of Huber Heights, Charles “Jerry” and Barbara Prater of New Carlisle; sister and brother-in-law, Isabell and Shelby Money of Kentucky; brother and sister-in-law, Clayton and Leona Lowery of Indiana; eight grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, May 14, at Creech Funeral Home, Middlesboro, with the Rev. Ronald Prater officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Marker and Heller Funeral Home, Huber Heights Chapel, 5844 Old Troy Pike from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, May 12; and from noon until service time on Monday at Creech Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro.
Creech Funeral Home, Middlesboro, is in charge of arrangements.
