MIDDLESBORO — Vernon Ray Brooks, 22, passed away Friday, August 3, 2007, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He was born February 19, 1985, in Middlesboro, a son of Glenn Brooks and the late Lois Ann Runion Brooks.

Survivors include his father, Glenn Brooks, Middlesboro; one brother, Glenn Brooks Jr., Middlesboro; fiancee, Angel Otero, Middlesboro; grandmother Christine Brooks, Middlesboro; three uncles: Rufus Brooks, Steve Brooks, and James England; one great-uncle, Clifford Brooks; two aunts, Tina Miracle and Kathy Brooks.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Padgett presiding.

Interment will be in the Brooks Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at Creech Funeral Home, Middlesboro, which is in charge of all arrangements.
