BLACKMONT —Clellia Griffin, 68, passed away Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, at Pineville Community Hospital.

Born Feb. 29, 1939, at Blacksnake, he was the son of the late Lloyd Griffin and Sarah Green Griffin. He was a logger.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Clellia Griffin Jr., Clifford Griffin; grandson, Dakota Griffin Brock; and brothers and sisters, Hillary Griffin, Rosetta McFee, Dan Griffin, Ethel Miracle, Clifford Griffin, Dora Ellen Lee, Bud Griffin, Grover Griffin, Mary Miracle, Violet and Rachel Griffin, and Julie Raby.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Carrie Callie Griffin, Blackmont; son, Marlin Griffin, Blackmont; daughters, Ethel (Ray) Brock, Blackmont, Marlene (Roger) Ramey, Pineville, and Laura (Dewayne) Lee, Blackmont; brother, Sidgill (Sally) Griffin, Blackmont; grandchildren, Scotty Lee, Kellie Lee, Falisha Lee, Samantha Lee, Arron Lee, Brandon Lee, Brittany Danille Napier, Megan Dawn Napier, Donavan Napier, Trisha Cole, Sierra Brock, and Trevor Brock; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, at Old Fourmile Pentecostal Church with the Rev. David Howard and the Rev. Arthur Jackson presiding. Music will be by church singers.

Burial will be in the Griffin Family Cemetery at Blackmont.

The family will receive friends after 12 noon Tuesday at Old Fourmile Pentecostal Church.
