The City of New Tazewell will hold the first annual Labor Day celebration at C.W. Gose Park on Monday, Sept. 3. Food and craft vendors will be on the grounds. Admission to the swimming pool will be free. An inflatable children's playground will be available from 1 p.m.-6 p.m.
Several musical talents will be performing. Little Miss Savannah will lead off from 2:30 p.m. - 4 p.m. She is the 2006 winner of the Tennessee Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year award, the 2007 Vocalist of the Year North American Country Music Association International Future Star of Tomorrow, and has won several other competitions. Crossfire will take the show until 5:30 p.m. when C.F. Bailey and Shadow Ridge take over. The Galloways will entertain from 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Fireworks will follow the musical entertainment. Mayor Jerry Beeler and all city employees invite everyone out to enjoy a day of fun and relaxation.
