Arjay expectant mother is fatal crash victim

ARJAY — A pregnant Arjay woman has been identified as the person killed in a two-vehicle collision on Kentucky Highway 66 in Arjay on Friday.

Kentucky State Police said Angelia Rice, 28, of Arjay, died after her pickup and another truck collided near the U.S. post office at Arjay in Bell County woman at 2:45 p.m.

KSP reports stated Rice was driving a 1988 Chevrolet S-10 south on Kentucky 66 when the vehicle went off the road and struck a guardrail. The vehicle then crossed the center line and struck a 1990 Ford Ranger pickup head-on.

Rice, seven months pregnant, died at the scene, as did her unborn child.. Passenger Clyde Rice, 30, of Arjay, was taken to University of Tennessee Medical Center with injuries.

The driver of the Ford Ranger, Tabitha Miller, 33, of Arjay was also taken to UT Medical Center.
