Born Sept. 16, 1978 in Middlesboro, she was the daughter of Barbara Lynn and Gene Parton of Sparta, Tenn. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her unborn son, Hunter Scott; a son, Austin; maternal grandparents, John and Ruth Lasley; and paternal grandfather, Dallas Smith.
Survivors include her husband, Clyde Rice Jr. of Arjay; children, Shaylyn Brookae and Hallie Lynn, both of Sparta; parents, Barbara Lynn and Gene Parton of Sparta; four brothers, Scott Collins of Sparta, Johnny Ray Jones of Sparta, Michael Jones of Florida, and Mitchell Jones of Kentucky; a sister, Cassie Collins of Sparta; and grandmother Nellie Ruth Smith of Sparta.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Saturday at the Hunter Funeral Home of Sparta, Tenn., which is in charge of arrangements. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2 at the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home, with David Daniels and Jim Cottel officiating. Burial will be in Frasier Cemetery.
