TAZEWELL, Tenn. — A Middlesboro woman was fatally injured Monday afternoon in Claiborne County.

Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Bobby Morelock stated that Karen Anthony, 31, of Middlesboro was traveling south on Dogwood Drive in Tazewell at about 3:45 p.m., when she apparently lost control of her 2002 Ford Explorer while attempting to make a left-hand turn. According to Morelock, Anthony overcorrected her vehicle and ran off the right side of the road. The vehicle then overturned on Anthony, killing her.

Morelock said that if Anthony had been wearing a seatbelt it may have saved her life.
