DECEMBER 3

MIDDLESBORO LITTLE THEATRE will hold its regular monthly meeting Monday, Dec. 3, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Guild Hall (across from Middlesboro City Hall). Several important issues will be discussed, and it will also be the group’s annual Christmas party. Bring your favorite dish and a friend.

MIDDLESBORO HIGH SCHOOL SBDM COUNCIL will meet on Monday, Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. in the high school library.

LONE JACK SBDM COUNCIL will meet on Monday, Dec. 3 at 4:30 p.m. in the school library.

DECEMBER 4

LMU HUMANITIES COLLOQUIUM will be held on Tuesday, December 4, at 7:30 p.m. in the Arnold Auditorium of the Abraham Lincoln Library and Museum. The Colloquium will feature presentations from LMU students and faculty.

BELL COUNTY/PINEVILLE & MIDDLERSBORO RETIRED TEACHERS ASSOCIATIONS will meet at 11:30 on Tuesday, December 4 at J Milton for their Christmas meeting. Beth and John Parker will persent a program of Christmas music and will lead the group in singing Christmas carols.

DIABETES SUPPORT GROUP will meet Tuesday, Dec. 4, at 5 p.m. at the Pineville Health Department. Paula White will demonstrate holiday food preparation. The meeting is free and open to anyone interested in learning more about diabetes.

ELECTRICAL RETRAINING CLASS wil be held at the Office of Mine Safety and Licensing Ball Park Road, Harlan, Ky., at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4. For more information call 606-573-1260.

NUTRITION EDUCATION WORKSHOP presented by God’s Pantry of Lexington, Ky., will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 4 at the Lighthouse Mission Center, 3.5 miles on Hwy. 119. For more information call 337-1834.

TRI-STATE FAMILY AL-ANON meets each Tuesday at 6 p.m. at 1108 North 25th Street (next to Gateway Christian School) in Middlesboro. AL-ANON is support group for anyone who has a family member or loved one struggling with drug and/or alcohol addiction.

DISCOVER DOWNTOWN MIDDLESBORO will meet on Thursday, Dec. 6, at 5 p.m. at the American Association Building, 2215 Cumberland Ave. This is where the Bell County Tourism Commission is located. The public is welcome.

DECEMBER 7

LMU CONCERT CHOIR and the TRI-STATE COMMUNITY CHORUS will present a concert on Thursday, Dec. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in the Duke Hall.

“CHRISTMAS WITH the LINCOLNS” will be presented Friday, Dec. 7, at 10 a.m., and again at 7 p.m. in the Arnold Auditorium at the Abraham Lincoln Library and Museum. After the 7 p.m. show there will be a Civil War concert by “Mean Mary and Frank.”

PINEVILLE CHRISTMAS PARADE will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7. The parade theme is “Bringing Santa’s Village to Life in Lights” and all entries must fit the theme. MIDDLESBORO HIGH SCHOOL JUNIORS are asked to have their photos for the junior class video (baby/toddler photos, young school age (K-5), extra curricular activities — Brownies, Clubs, Sports, Cheerleading, —, current photo and group photos) to Mrs. Billie Irvine by Dec. 7. Photos should be on a CD.
