Tazewell man killed in crash at Lone Mountain

Clarence Arnwine, 67, of Tazewell lost his life when this Toyota pickup left a lake access trail about 9 a.m. on Monday Dec 10.
The vehicle traveled approximately 110 feet down an embankment, rolling over several times.
Driver Lewis Mabe, 67, of Tazewell was taken to Claiborne County Hospital with unknown injuries.
A third man, Poss Mabe, 65, of Tazewell was thrown from the back of the vehicle and suffered facial injuries.
Muddy roads and the proximity of the path to the lake edge were apparent contributing factors. The accident occurred beyond Lone Mountain Boat Dock after leaving Lone Mountain Road.
Responders included the Claiborne County Sheriffs Department, Springdale VFD, Claiborne County Rescue Squad, and EMS. Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Charlene Green investigated.
