Born November 26, 1936, in Kentucky, he was the son of the late Millard Reece and Maude Plowman Reece. A veteran of the United States Marines, he was retired from Flav-O-Rich Dairy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Geneva Taylor; and one brother Ronnie Reece.
Survivors include his wife, Leona Miller Reece, Harrogate; sons and daughters-in-law, David (Brenda) Reece, Harrogate, and Jimmy (Trish) Pelfrey, Hazard, Ky.; grandsons, Adam Reece, Harrogate, and Corey Reece, Harrogate; one great-granddaughter, Tanner Reece, Harrogate; sister, Virginia (Dave) Darwin, Mobile, Ala.; brother, Truman Reece, Greenville, N.C.; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m.Tuesday at Creech Funeral Home with the Rev. John Gibbons presiding. Music will be provided by Kathy Chumley, Elizabeth Chumley and Shelia Durham.
Interment will follow in the Harrogate Cemetery. Pallbearers are Adam Reece, Gary (Skeeter) Warren, Roy Brock, Ted Blondell, David Sharpe, Harold Adams, and George Carter.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm Monday at Creech Funeral Home, Middlesboro, which is in charge of all arrangements.
