Panthers rout Thomas Walker 17-7

The Cumberland Gap Panthers snapped out of their offensive doldrums as they pounded out 16 hits in a 17-7 win at Thomas Walker Thursday.

Seth Sharp had four hits, including a double and scored two runs for the Panthers and they got production all through the lineup.

Zach Baughcum, Jaden Guy and Cory Evans drove in three runs each. Baughcum had three hits, Guy doubled and tripled and Evans singled and doubled. Josh Baughcum also had two hits and two RBI for Cumberland Gap.

Nick Antuna got the start and allowed three runs on four hits in three innings while striking out two and walking two. Sharp pitched the final four innings and got the win as he gave up four runs on three hits. He walked one and struck out one.

The Panthers even their record at 4-4. They return to district play today, hosting Gatlinburg-Pittman at 5 p.m.
