Three bodies found in wrecked vehicle

EARL’S HOLLOW, Tenn. — Some ATV riders found a grisly discovery Thursday afternoon: Three bodies in a wrecked vehicle.
The bodies were found in a remote part of Claiborne County, near the Powell River quite a distance off of Red Hill Circle, according to Lt. John Collins of the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Department. It was estimated that they had been there around 24 hours, he said.
“It looks like the wreck had been there for some time,” Collins said.
The three white males were unidentified at press time. The vehicle is an older model Land Rover, he said.
“Speed was most likely a factor,” he said.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol was also on the scene, and will be investigating.
