Popular oldies band, the ‘Klassyc Tymes’ will take the stage on Saturday at the “Cruisin’ the Crater” car show at the Middlesboro Mall parking lot.

“Cruisin’ the Crater” is a popular summertime event for Middlesboro residents and travelers alike. The monthly car show gives families an opportunity to gather, socialize and show their vehicles.

Organizer Leemon Moyers describes the upcoming “Cruisin’ the Crater” as an opportunity for family-oriented fun. He says that the vehicle show is, “Just a cruise, not a competition.” There’s no entry fee and no money involved. Admission is free and so is the music.

“Cruisin’ the Crater” sponsors the monthly event which draws at least 300 to 400 cars each time. It’s a come one, come all type of show. Everything from antique cars and trucks, hot rods and motorcycles are featured in, “The tri-states’ biggest and best selection of automotive excellence!”

“Cruisin’ the Crater” takes place on the third Saturday of every month from May until October at the Middlesboro Mall parking lot. The hours are 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.

The band will take the stage at 7:30.

Organizers encourage participants to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
