MIDDLESBORO — Lucille Miracle Slusher Howard, age 75 of Middlesboro, passed away Thursday December 8, 2011, at the Middlesboro ARH.

Born April 24, 1936, at Miracle, she was the daughter of the late Fred Patton and Eller Miracle. She believed in the Holiness Faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Haywood Gilbert Slusher; sister, Annette Hensley; four brothers, Houston, J.C., Ewell and Leamon Miracle; and son-in-law, Troy Wayne Miracle.

Survivors include her husband, Arthur Howard, Middlesboro; son, Fred William Slusher, Corbin; two daughters, Nancy Caroline Miracle, Bird Branch, and Gillene Slusher, Middlesboro; five sisters, Dolly Jean Gibbons, Miracle, Trudie Miracle, Pontiac, Mich., Wanda Sue Jackson, Pontiac, Mich., Estella Miracle, Miracle, and Elsie Miracle, Middlesboro; two brothers, Ira Lee Miracle, Miracle, and Fred P. Miracle, Miracle; two grandchildren, Crystal Dawn Miracle and Fred William Slusher II; three great-grandchildren, Douglas Wayne Miracle, Troy Dylan Daniels and Cheyenne Danielle Daniels.

Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. David Miracle and Robert Miracle presiding. Music was by Oakdale Singers and Etta Smith.

Interment was in the Joe Wilder Cemetery. Pallbearers were Donnie Gibbons, Marvin Gibbons, Randy Miracle, J.P. Miracle, Brian Gibbons, and Logan Gibbons.

The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at the Creech Funeral Home.
