MIRACLE — Henry Wombles, age 90, Miracle, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2012, at The Christian Health Care Center in Corbin, Ky.

He was born August 10, 1921 in Oaks, Ky., and was the son, the late Ben and Nancy Wombles. He was a member, the Oak Dale Baptist Church, and was a WWII Veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Wombles; one step, daughter, Juanita Miracle; infant brother, Robert Wombles; and half, brother, Willie Eldridge.

He is survived by the following members, his family, daughters, Shirley (Jim) Partin, Pineville, Reva (Bruce) Widener, Miracle,and Henrietta Dees, Ohio; sons, Johnny (Nita) Wombles, Florida, Jim (Holly) Wombles, Miracle, Sam E. (Sharon) Wombles, Raleigh N.C., James Miracle, Harrogate Tenn.; sister, Rhoda Lawson, Pilot Mt., N.C.; 21 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren; and a host, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 18, at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Murphy Buell, the Rev. David Miracle and Marion Lawson presiding. Music will be provided by Tawanna Grimm.

Interment will follow in the Greenhills Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. Saturday, February 18, at Creech Funeral Home.
