MIDDLESBORO — Keith Brian Carter,age 50 of Middlesboro, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at the Middlesboro ARH.

He was born December 27, 196,1 in North Carolina,and was the son of the late Andrew and Allie Frederick Carter. He was a member of the Whipple Baptist Church at Balkan, Ky.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his biological father, Harvey Burke.

He is survived by his biological mother, Helen Carter of Corbin, Ky.; wife, Kathy Carter; two sons and their spouses, Brian and Laura Carter of Flat Lick, and Kevin and Amy Layne of Page; mother-in-law, Betty Hoskins of Pineville; father-in-law, Arliss Hoskins of Pineville; sister-in-law, Melissa (Johnny) Caldwell of Calvin; brother-in-law, Kenneth Hoskins of Berea, Ky.; brothers, Dave Burke of Pennsylvania, and Robert Brewer of Corbin, Ky.; sisters, Debbie (Eddie) Miller of Brownies Creek, Loretta Brewer of Corbin, Ky., and Rhonda Brewer of Corbin; granddaughter, Jasmine Carter; best friends, Anthony and Norman Campbell, and Bill and Shelia Doan; and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, February 24, at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. William Boyd Bingham presiding.

Graveside services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday at the Barbourville City Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Campbell, Norman Campbell, Bill Doan and Kenneth Hoskins

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 24, at the Creech Funeral Home.
