He was born February 24, 1960, in Middlesboro, and was the son of the late Ewing and Helen Margaret Fuson Shackleford.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Melvin Shackleford; and sister, Jenetta Breeding.
Donnie is survived by his wife, Glenda Shackleford; son, Donnie (Kim) Shackleford, Jr.; grandchildren, Austin Ewing Lee Shackleford, Ladassa Kendra Ann Shackleford and Hayley Jade Elizabeth Shackleford; his sister, Mary (Wayne) Givens; brothers, P. L. (Roberta) Shackleford, and R. E. (Ellen) Shackleford; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, at New Beginning Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Givens officiating. Music will be provided by the New Beginning Baptist Church Choir.
Burial will be in Shackleford Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donnie Shackleford, Jr., Austin Shackleford, Preston Shackleford, Robbie Shackleford, Drexel Givens, and Jeremy Barnett.
The family will receive friends at 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 14, at New Beginning Baptist Church.
