PINEVILLE — The Under His Wings Family Center will be hosting their annual Easter Parade on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in Downtown Pineville.

This will be the 12th year that the organization has held the parade. The name of the parade this year is “The Alabaster Box”.

The parade will be led by Bell County Constable “Fish” Mills. Mills leads the parade each year.

There will be a ministry from Corbin that will be working with the organization this year. One of the members from Corbin will be blowing a Shofar, which is a horn used in Israel during religious events.

One float that will be in the parade is called “The Alabaster Box”. This float will represent the anointing of Jesus for his burial.

There will also be a walking scene during the parade that will have Roman Soldiers escorting Jesus.

Another float that is in the works, but not official, on that represents Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead.

“It’s all about Jesus,” said Rena Green, a member of the Under His Wings organization.

There will be other churches present that will be either helping or participating during the event.

Under His Wings is a non-profit religious organization that does outreach ministries across the area.
