She was born July 28, 1940 in Middlesboro, the daughter of the late Floyd and Leeoma Harp. She was a member of the Chenoa Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Shackleford; brothers, Siler, Chesley, Tom, John Wesley, J.L. and Houston Miracle; sisters, Dora Elizabeth Mumaw, Virgie Partin, Magnolia Leford, Othella Miracle and Verda Ray Miracle.
She is survived by her four children, Brenda (Jerry) Ellison of Harrogate, Tenn., Sarah K. Shackleford of Chenoa, Jeffery Shackleford of Pineville and Johnny (Linda) Shackleford of Chenoa; grandchildren, Jada (Austin) Jackson of Harrogate, Tenn., Jeffery Allen Shackleford of Pineville, Vian Grace of Pineville, and Logan Byrd of Chenoa; great-grandchildren, Evan Chase Jackson and Aiden Wayn Jackson, both of Harrogate, Tenn.; brothers, Ben (Louise) Miracle of Middlesboro, Nevil (Dorothy) Miracle of Chenoa, Alvie Miracle of Chenoa, Phillip (Clara) Miracle of Chenoa, and A.E. (Myrtle) Miracle of Chenoa; sisters, Della Murphy of Knoxville, Tenn., Geneva (Earl) Fuson of Chenoa, Janie (Bill) Partin of Chenoam and Betsy (James) Hickman of Chenoa; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 6, at the New Vine Missionary Baptist Church with the the Rev. Jerry Fuson and the Rev. Roddy Leath presiding. Music will be provided by the New Vine Church Choir, Phillip Fuson and Violet Miracle.
Interment will follow in the New Vine Cemetery. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, at the Creech Funeral Home.
