M’boro man indicted on attempted murder and arson charges

PINEVILLE — A man who was involved in a house fire in February has been indicted on attempted murder charges. Jonathan Brock Stansbury of Middlesboro was indicted on the charges of criminal attempt to commit murder and arson in the first degree.

In February, Stansbury, age 26, was allegedly involved in a house fire on Chasteen Drive. Resident Clorah Falconer, age 45 at the time, was still in the residence when the fire was set. No one was injured during the fire.

Stansbury was also indicted for being a persistent felony offender in the second degree for having been convicted of one prior felony.

He was released from the Bell County Detention Center on April 17.
