A resident of Laughlin Health Care in Greeneville, Tenn., she was a former resident of Middlesboro, and was the daughter of the late George Pursiful1and Nancy Katherine Thompson Pursifull. She was also the widow of Millard Thacker. She was a member of First Baptist Church Greeneville and was a charter member of West Cumberland Baptist Church in Middlesboro.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceeded in death by two brothers, Earnest Pursifull and Clyde Pursifull; two sisters, Elsie Arnett and Eula Peace.
Survivors include her two daughters Brenda (Thacker) Massengill and husband Tony Massengill of Monroe, Mich., and Wanda (Thacker) Brooks and husband Kyle Brooks of Greeneville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Tammy Sparks and husband Joe Sparks, Flat Rock, Mich., Tim Massengill, Monroe, Mich., Kyla Webb and husband Bobby Webb, Hendersonville, Tenn., and Rhonda Morgan, Greeneville, Tenn.; great-grandchildren, Bethany and Emily Ball, Greeneville, Tenn., Lucas, Colin, and Dillon Sparks, Flat Rock, Mich., and Aaron and Andrew Webb, Hendersonville, Tenn.; brother, Mendel Pursifull and wife Betty Pursifull, Melburn, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Pursifull, Merritt Island, Fla., and Viola Pursifull, Hamilton, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews in Kentucy, Tennessee, Michigan and Ohio.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Creech Funeral Home
Interment service will follow in the Green Hill Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 12:30-2 p.m. Sunday at Creech Funeral Home, Middlesboro, which is in charge of all arrangements.
