Cracker Barrel announces arrival of new general manager

The Middlesboro Cracker Barrel employees received a practice run on Friday morning as the restaurant provided breakfast for local business leaders and others. Several people showed up to take advantage of the opportunity, as the line in front of the restaurant indicates. Cracker Barrel officially opens to the public on Monday at 6:00 a.m.
LEBANON, Tenn. — Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. today hosted breakfast for local business leaders and others throughout the community. The event was a practice run for its employees in preparation or the restaurant’s grand opening on Monday.

The company also announced the transfer of Eric Hart to the position of general manager of its Middlesboro location. hart has been with the company since December 1983, most recently as general manager in Somerset, Ky.

As general manager of the Middlesboro location, Hart will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day business, and ensuring that all guests receive the great Cracker Barrel experience that they have come to expect.

The company also announced Jonathan Hensley as the retail manager of the Middlesboro location. Hensley has been with the company since February. Before joining Cracker Barrel, he had 10 years experience in the retail industry.

As retail manager of the Middlesboro location, Hensley will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day business of the retail store.

The Middlesboro Cracker Barrel unit is located at US Highway 23E. It features the working cobblestone fireplace, retail store filled with nostalgic favorites, gifts and collectibles, and traditional, homemade “fixin’s” that Cracker Barrel restaurants are known for across the country. Popular dishes include meatloaf and homemade chicken n’ dumplings, as well as its made from scratch biscuits using an old family recipe.

The first Cracker Barrel Old Country Store unit was opened near Lebanon, Tenn., about 30 miles east of Nashville, in September 1969. For 19 consecutive years, Restaurants & Institutions magazine named Cracker Barrel “Best in Family Dining” among chain restaurants. In 2011, Nation’s Restaurant News conducted its first annual “Consumer Picks” survey in which consumers selected Cracker Barrel 1st place in Family-Dining Restaurants.
