Seniors graduate from MHS

Middlesboro High School seniors moved forward after their graduation on Friday. The ceremony was held at the Central Arts Auditorium. The JROTC Color Guard posted the colors during the ceremony, and Lindsey Alyse Helton sang the star spangled banner and Kayla Danielle Venable presented the pledge to the flag. The class of 2012 was addressed by fellow graduates Morgan Kaitlyn Culver, salutatorian, and Thomas Nelson Epperson, Maredith Ann Goodin, and Amelia Minerva Wilson, valedictorians, prior to the presentation of diplomas. Several scholarships were also awarded to members of the class.

Thomas Epperson and Amelia Wilson were two of the three valedictorians who gave a speeches at the graduation. Maredith Ann Goodin was the third.

The new MHS graduates celebrated their success by throwing their caps in the air after the ceremony.
