Knox Co. man sentenced to 50 years by Bell Circuit Court

A Knox County man was sentenced to 50 years for rape and sodomy in Bell Circuit Court. Timmy Lee Jackson, 32 of Dewitt, was found guilty of two counts of first-degree rape, five counts of first-degree sodomy, and one count of first-degree sexual abuse. He was sentenced to 20 years in the penitentiary under counts I, III, IV, VI, VII of the indictment and ten years under count VIII. This resulted in a sentence of 50 years in the penitentiary.

Other sentences handed down by Bell Circuit Court are:

Jack Franklin Elliott, Jr., 35 of Middlesboro, plead guilty to two separate indictments. On the first, he plead guilty to manufacturing methamphetamine and fourth-degree controlled substance endangerment to a child. He was sentenced to ten years in the penitentiary under count I of the indictment and five years in the penitentiary under count II. In the second indictment, Elliott plead guilty to the manufacture of methamphetamine, four counts of fourth-degree controlled substance endangerment to a child, and for being a persistent felony offender in the second degree. He was sentenced to 20 years in the penitentiary under count I of the indictment and five years in the penitentiary under counts II-V of the indictment. Count VI of the indictment shall be an enhancement to the sentence imposed under count I of the indictment.

Sarah B. Robertson of Middlesboro plead guilty to the charges of receiving stolen property over $500 and theft by deception under $500. He was sentenced to two years in the penitentiary under count I and 12 months in the Bell County Jail under count II.

Robert Harden Gordon, 43 of Middlesboro, plead guilty to two separate indictments. On the first, he plead guilty to receiving stolen property over $500. He was sentenced to five years in the penitentiary. On the second, Gordon plead guilty to theft by unlawful taking over $500, theft by unlawful taking under $500 and receiving stolen property under $500. He was sentenced to five years in the penitentiary under count I of the indictment and 12 months in the Bell County Jail under counts II and III.

Richard D. Gulley, 28 of Middlesboro, plead guilty to two separate indictments. On the first, he plead guilty to third-degree burglary. He was sentenced to five years in the penitentiary, but will actually serve 60 days in the Bell County Jail. For the remainder of the sentence, the defendant will be placed on supervised probation for a period of five years. On the second, Gulley plead guilty to the facilitation to commit theft by unlawful taking over $500 and complicity to commit receiving stolen property under $500. He was sentenced to 12 months in the Bell County Jail under counts I and II of the indictment, that such sentences be probated, and that the defendant shall be placed on supervised probation for a period of 24 months under counts I and II of the indictment.

Thomas Hubbard, 24 of Pineville, plead guilty to the charges of receiving stolen property over $500 and theft by deception under $500. He was sentenced to two years in the penitentiary under count I, and 12 months in the Bell County Jail under count II.

Larry J. Mcnally, 47 of Middlesboro, plead guilty to third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. He was sentenced to 12 months in the Bell County Jail, that such sentence be probated, and that the defendant shall be placed on supervised probation for a period of 24 months.

Hiram Asher, 68 of Pineville, plead guilty to two counts of first-degree trafficking a controlled substance. He was sentenced to five years in the penitentiary under counts I and II of the indictment.

Christian M. Partin, 21 of Pineville, plead guilty to three counts of receiving stolen property under $10,000. He was sentenced to five years in the penitentiary under counts I-III of the indictment.

Jennifer L. Roark, 26 of Pineville, plead guilty to receiving stolen property over $500. She was sentenced to five years in the penitentiary, that such sentence be probated, and that the defendant shall be placed on supervised probation for a period of five years.

Brook N. Jones, 26 of Middlesboro, plead guilty to giving an officer false name or address. She was sentenced to 90 days in the Bell Co. Jail, that such sentence be probated, and that the defendant shall be placed on supervised probation for a period of 24 months.

Andrew Cox, 21 of Canon, plead guilty to theft by unlawful taking over $500 and second-degree criminal mischief. He was sentenced to five years in the penitentiary under count I and 12 months in the Bell County Jail under count II, that such sentences be probated, and the the defendant shall be placed on supervised probation for a period of five years under count I.

Jamie Ray Wilder, 32 of Middlesboro, plead guilty to theft by unlawful taking over $500. He was sentenced to three years in the penitentiary.

Curtis Hall, 48 of Manchester, was found guilty of third-degree burglary, second-degree fleeing or evading police and for being a second-degree persistent felony offender. He was sentenced to five years in the penitentiary under count I, ten years in the penitentiary under count IV, and 90 days in the Bell County Jail under count II.

Michael Sawyer Mills, 33 of Pineville, plead guilty to two separate indictments. On the first, he plead guilty to receiving stolen property. He was sentenced to two years and six months in the penitentiary. On the second, Mills plead guilty to second-degree trafficking a controlled substance. He was sentenced to two years and six months in the penitentiary under that indictment.

James Hendrickson, 29 of Pineville, plead guilty to three counts of theft by unlawful taking over $300 and being a second-degree persistent felony offender. He was sentenced to five years in the penitentary under counts I through III. Count IV of the indictment shall be an enhancement to the sentence imposed under count I.

Joel Dan Wilson (Lasley), 53 of Middlesboro, plead guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and being a persistent second-degree felony offender. He was sentenced to five years in the penitentiary under count I and seven years under count V, which will serve as an enhancement to count I.

Kenneth Murry, 34 of Middlesboro, plead guilty to five counts of theft by deception under $500 and one count of theft by deception over $500. He was sentenced to five years in the penitentiary under count VI and 12 months in the Bell Co. Jail under counts I through V of the indictment, that such sentences be probated, and that the defendant shall be placed on supervised probation for a period of five years under count VI.

Steven Rodney Harrell of Middlesboro plead guilty to operating a motor vehicle under the influence, first degree-possession of a controlled substance and operating on suspended or revoked operators license. He was sentenced to three years in the penitentiary under count II and 60 days in the Bell Co. Jail under counts I and III, but he shall actually serve 60 days in the Bell Co. Jail under counts I through III. For the remainder of the sentence under count II of the indictment, the defendant shall be placed on supervised probation for a period of three years.

Ashley Hope Taylor, 26 of Barbourville, plead guilty to two separate indictments. On the first, she plead guilty to the use or possession of drug paraphernalia, first-degree possession of a controlled substance and third-degree possession of a controlled substance. She was sentenced to three years in the penitentiary under count II of the indictment and 12 months in the Bell Co. Jail under counts I and III, that such sentences be probated, and that the defendant shall be placed on supervised probation for a period of three years under count II. On the second, Taylor plead guilty to theft by unlawful taking under $500 and second-degree possession of a forged instrument. She was sentenced to five years in the penitentiary under count II of the indictment and 12 months in the Bell Co. Jail under count I, that such sentences be probated, and that the defendant shall be placed on supervised probation for a period of five years under count II.
