She was born April 10, 1937, at Pearl, and was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Gensie Elle Partin Carroll. She believed in the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Leroy and Rufus Carroll.
She is survived by the following members of her family: children, James Childers and LuJayne Childers, both of Middlesboro; grandson, Luke Childers, who was the joy of her life; four sisters, Othello Cupp of Pensacola, Fla., Rosanna Hurst of Lafollette, Tenn., Helen Daniel of Ewing, Va., and Geneva Brewer of Cawood; two special nieces, Jane Ann Smith of Pennington Gap, Va., and Mary Ellen Burns of Bledsoe; very special friend, Idella Williams of Middlesboro; and a host of special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donnie Buell presiding. Music will be provided by Steve Partin.
Interment will follow in the Hubbard Cemetery at Chenoa. Nephews and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Creech Funeral Home.
