Six members of the Bell County Lady Cat softball team have been named to Academic All-State teams. Senior shortstop Alex Gambrel (pictured attempting to turn a double-play against Harlan in the 52nd District Tournament), senior center fielder Alisha Russell (pictured jumping to catch fly ball against Middlesboro), and senior first baseman Kendra Taylor (pictured slapping a ball to left field) all made the Academic All-State first team. Junior outfielder Haley Goodman made the second team while senior pitcher Rachel Yeary and junior second baseman Hillary Lowe received honorable mention.
