Darrell “Bones” Walters, 81 of Lexington, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012.

He was born July 19, 1930, at Alva, to the late Rev. Archie and Lelia Thomas Walters.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Irma Moore, Trudy Bolton, and Brenda Wooten.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; son, Aubrey Darrell (Debra) Walters II; daughter, Leigh Ann (Tommy) Fitzpatrick; brothers, Trent (Jan) Walters and Rev. Robey (Brenda) Walters; three grandchildren, John Thomas Fitzpatrick IV, Connor Fitzpatrick and Darian Fitzpatrick; and several nieces and nephews. H

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
