MPD arrest 10 on drug charges

Ten more individuals were arrested recently as part of an ongoing investigation by the Middlesboro Police Department. There were 17 charges placed amongst the individuals. Each one of the individuals arrested are residents of Middlesboro.

The case involved a variety of prescription drugs, marijuana and methamphetamine. One weapons arrest was also made during the investigation. Det. Sgt. Joe Holder is continuing his investigation and more arrest are expected.

The MPD stressed that the community is an important part of the drug enforcement program and for anyone with information about illegal drugs sales, transportation or abuse to contact the MPD at 248-3636. Tips are kept confidential.

Below are the individuals and the charges placed against them:

* Edward Raney Jr., 31, was arrested on two counts of first-degree trafficking a controlled substance (oxycodone) and second-degree possession of a controlled substance;

* Linda S. Graster, 38, was arrested on second-degree trafficking a controlled substance (hydrocodone);

* J.D. Barnes, 58, was arrested on two counts of second-degree trafficking a controlled substance (hydrocodone);

* Janice L. Gent, 41, was arrested on first-degree trafficking a controlled substance (oxycodone), second-degree possession of a controlled substance (hydrocodone) and possession of a defaced handgun;

* Jessica L. Ciferri, 26, was arrested of second-degree trafficking a controlled substance (suboxone);

* Robert S. Ward, 19, was arrested on cultivating marijuana;

* Cody J. Myers, 25, was arrested on two counts of first-degree trafficking a controlled substance (methamphetamine);

* Pamela Goins, 41, was arrested on first-degree trafficking a controlled substance and two counts of trafficking a simulated substance;

* Joshua A. Goins, 19, was arrested on first-degree trafficking a controlled substance (oxycodone);

* Phillip G. Brock, 28, was arrested on second-degree trafficking a controlled substance (suboxone).
