Hanford Martin (Hank), age 67, Middlesboro, passed away Friday, August 10, 2012 at his home. He was born in Clear Creek on March 22, 1945 to the late Canis Dee Martin and Gladys Mason Martin. He was a member of Hensley Chapel Baptist Church. Mr. Martin worked at Trim Trends in Spencerville, Ohio for 30 years. He loved his family and the Lord.
He was married to Phyllis Martin for 35 years and is survived by their children, Steve Martin (Kathy) of Wapakoneta, Ohio, Pattie Bailey (Russ) of St. Marys, Ohio and Michelle Evans (Scott) of St. Marys; grandchildren, Beth Seifley (Rob), Steven Martin (Erika), Emily Martin, Sarah Bailey, Katie Martin, Stephanie Evans, and Wyatt Bailey; brother, Jay Harold Martin; sister, Berneda Hawkey (Ron); and nephew, Gene Hawkey; and special friend of nine years, Evelyn Seargent.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Shumate Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Murphy Buell officiating. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Monday, August 13, 2012 at Shumate Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Hensley Chapel Baptist Church.
