Aunt Me-Me’s Tea Room located in Tazewell, Tenn., opened for business Monday. The Tea room provides a unique experience for anyone wanting to plan tea parties, birthday parties, bridal parties, baby showers, meetings and other special events, says owner Melissa Lee Meadows.
There is also an area for private meetings and get-togethers. Meadows says they specialize in homemade desserts, cookies, cakes and pies with a new dessert offered each day. The sweets are served with coffee, teas, fresh lemonades and milk.
Meadows states, “for the kids, theme parties are available such as Alice and Wonderland. Alice will be for the girls and the Mad Hatter will be the main theme for boys.”
Art parties are also available where the children get their own canvas to paint and take home with art party hostess Amy Hill, Meadows says.
The best part about it, Meadow adds, is while all these activities are taking place the staff will serve sweets and drinks of your choice …. and she and her staff do the clean up after the party is over.
Meadows says “Aunt Me-Me” looks forward to meeting the public and invites everyone to drop in and say hello. Hours of operation for Aunt Me-Me’s Tea Room are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.
