A school bus and Coca-Cola truck collided along KY 221 in the Mill Creek area on Monday. According to Bell County Sheriff Bruce Bennett, the truck was headed westbound on KY 221 when it “sideswiped” the school bus. The truck continued on its path before crashing into a guardrail. The driver of the truck was taken to Pineville Community Hospital by Bell County EMS.
Bennett confirmed that there were 12 children on board the bus at the time of the accident. Four of those children were taken to the hospital by parents as a precaution.
The case officers for the accident were officers Max Graves and Eric Saylor of the Bell County Sheriff’s Department.
