Mary Elizabeth Patterson Griffin, 56 of Pineville, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at her home in Dorton Branch. She was born in Pineville on January 26, 1956 and was the daughter of the late George and Marie Taylor Patterson. Mary had been a homemaker and attended Dorton Branch Church of God.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, James Jr. Griffin of Pineville; children, James Christopher Griffin and Heather Marie Griffin; grandchildren, Jacob Nathaniel Griffin, Jamie Marie Partin, Hannah Partin and James Caleb Partin; brother, Thomas Patterson and wife, Debbie; sisters, Patsy Patterson and Gwen Maness and husband, Jay; niece, Lisa Patterson; nephews, Robbie and Jason Maness, Chris and Adam Patterson and David and Daniel Saylor; mother and father-in-law, Mary and Charles Griffin and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Dorton Branch Church of God with Rev. Bill Wolfe and Rev. Jeff Tingle. Music will be by Rev. Rick Johnson and George Simpson. Burial will follow in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
