The Middlesboro girls’ golf team hosted South Laurel Thursday at the Middlesboro Country Club and came away with their second win of the season over the Lady Cardinals.

When the two teams matched up earlier last week in London, Lady Jacket sophomore Hannah Wilford led MHS to the win and came away with medalist honors.

Thursday, in Middlesboro’s final home match of the season, it was freshman Laura Durham earning medalist honors in leading the Lady Jackets to victory.

Other MHS golfers helping to win the dual matches were middle schoolers Emily Francis, Anna Voges and Jane Millett.

The MHS Lady Jackets golfers will travel to Corbin today for their last regular season match. They will travel to Somerset Sept. 24 to play in the Regional Tournament.
