A Middlesboro woman pleaded guilty to a theft related charge on Monday. Brandi Renee Norris, 28, pleaded guilty to theft by unlawful taking over $500.
Commonwealth Attorney Karen Green Blondell recommended Norris serve three years in the penitentiary to run consecutively with other sentences. Her final sentencing will take place on Nov. 15.
The plea agreement stems from an incident that occurred on Jan. 29. Norris entered Walmart and shoplifted $855 worth of items. Later that day, she was apprehended by officer Zack Churchwell of the Middlesboro Police Department. She was released from the Bell County Detention Center on Feb. 3.
