Don and Janie Patton announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Allison Patton of Harrogate, Tenn., to Derek Bowman of Middlesboro, son of Laverna Bowman and Daniel Bowman.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Maxine Lewis and the late Joe Carl Lewis and the late Noah and Billie Mae Patton.
A graduate of Powell Valley High School, she is a graduate of Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKCTC) and Eastern Kentucky University. She is employed as a respiratory therapist at St. Joseph’s Hospital in London.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Patricia Bowman and the late Dan Bowman of Speedwell, Tenn., and the late Ancil and Edna Jones.
A graduate of Middlesboro High School, he earned an associate’s degree at SKCTC. He is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business management at Lincoln Memorial University. He is employed by the U.S. Postal Service.
An Oct. 13 wedding is planned at Binghamtown Baptist Church. Invitations have been mailed.
