Vickie Bailey Forester, age 59 of Keith, passed away Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at home following a long battle with cancer.
Vickie was born Dec. 10, 1952, in Harlan, and was the daughter of the late Joe and Hazel Hensley Meadors. She was a legal secretary in Harlan for many years and later became the official court reporter for the Bell County Circuit Court until her retirement.
In addition her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Steven Forester; brothers, Billy, Bobby, Jim and John Meadors; and a sister, Lucille Nolan.
Those left to mourn her passing are her daughter, Athena (Travis) Russell of Knoxville, Tenn.; her son, Conley Anthony Bailey II of San Diego, Calif.; grandchildren, Shelby Jessie Russell and Tanner Jason Russell both of Knoxville, Tenn.; sister, Nora Mae Harris of Ohio; brother, Jerry (Bonnie) Meadors of Baxter; several nieces and nephews, including two special nieces, Janet Nolan and Molly Sue Baker of Coldiron.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Carmical officiating. Music will be provided by the singers of the Coldiron Church of God Mountain Assembly.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m.Wednesday at the Resthaven Cemetery Chapel at Keith. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery chapel.
