LOUISVILLE — Bell County 4-Hers brought back more ribbons from the Kentucky State Fair than the number of projects that they entered, including one coveted Grand Champion ribbon.
Bell County 4-H Extension Agent Brandy Calvert took 44 entries to the State Fair in Louisville in August on behalf of Bell County 4-H members. She returned with 23 blue ribbons, 16 red ribbons, five white ribbons, two entries were Class Champion projects and one entry took the entire category and won Grand Champion.
Senior 4-Her Kelly Brown, a student at Bell County High School, won a Grand Champion ribbon with her forestry project, a beautiful leaf collection.
