Eunice McPherson Gambrel Hensley passed away peacefully at Pineville Community Hospital on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at the age of 88.

She was born Jan. 9, 1924, at Arjay, and was the daughter of the late Arbra and Mammie Mullins McPherson. She had been a beautician, dental assistant and had worked with the bookmobile.

Eunice was predeceased in death by husbands, Eugene Gambrel and Roscoe Hensley; parents, Arbra McPherson and Mammie Mullins McPherson; brothers, John McPherson and Billy McPherson; sisters, Loretta Martin, Hazel Stewart, Nora Gambrel, Rosella Wyatt, Uladean Black and Ruby Campbell.

She is survived and fondly remembered by her sons, Jimmy Dale and Judy Gambrel of London, Denny Ray and Donna Hensley of Pineville, and Phillip and Kristina Hensley of Corbin; sister Yvonne Roop of Middlesboro; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Brooks-Durham Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Wagner presiding.

Burial will be Friday at 2 p.m. in Red Hill Cemetery at Arjay. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and nephews.

The family will receive friends after 5 p.m. Thursday until the funeral hour at 7 p.m. at the Brooks-Durham Funeral Home. Brooks-Durham Funeral Home, Pineville, is in charge of all arrangements and honored to be serving the Hensley Family. Guestbook at www.brooksdurhamfuneralhome.com
